Two-tier end tables are unique pieces of furniture because of their dynamic shape and added functionality. While at the Krenov School of Fine Woodworking, I explored this concept. Tambour doors were selected as a way to add storage but avoid any stored objects being visible and any interference with the first level. When opened, the tambour doors disappear into the box (plus they are fun to play with). This furniture piece was designed to fit between two lounge swivel chairs in a small nook.
